Live large and true

Fatina

When we nurture our spirit and strengthen our connection to all of life, we want to protect it. We understand that we are all one, and we realize that any harm we may do to another living creature we really do it to ourselves.

A true life and a rich spiritual life encourage us to connect with those around us with a wonderful feeling of oneness. When we detach from the truth of that oneness, we feel disconnected, cut off from the spiritual benefits that can be ours. Whether we realize it or not, we are all connected? no matter our race or gender or any of the other categories we put ourselves and others into.

We are at our best when we act from a larger spiritual perspective. Our hearts open, we become capable of great love for one another, and we become our most noble, most honorable selves. And when we feel that opening of our heart, we also feel greater love for ourselves. Our life takes on new meaning when we live large and true. We expand our vision when we nurture our spirit, and we are filled with compassion. We become kinder, more patient, more forgiving towards others and ourselves.

(…) any time we come into contact with someone for even the smallest shared moment? the grocery store cashier, the bus driver, the mail carrier? any time we connect with other people, we have the opportunity to make ordinary interactions, however fleeting, uplifting. Amid the stress of day-to-day living, all we really need is a series of very small inspiring moments to turn an okay day into a good day, and a good day into a great one.
